    Library Profile of Anjuman –I-Islam’s IHM

The library was established in 1993 with the establishment of the college. The library is situated on the second floor of the college building and is made easily accessible from all corners of the college premises. It has a carpet area of about 1400 sq. ft. Complete database of the library holdings has been manage by using E-Granthalay library software supported Govt. of India OPAC – Online Public Access Catalogue is provided for students and teachers on the intranet. Two computers are installed exclusively for OPAC. So that students can use OPAC.

The library subscribes to National and International journals, newspapers and magazines. Every day articles from them are identified and articles useful for students are being displayed on the library notice board. These articles are very useful for students doing projects and seminar work. They save the time of the users by immediately drawing the attention of a user to the availability of the topic of their interest. Sometimes Students‟ jot down the list of newspapers and journals that cover their topic; these are then removed by the library staff and given for reference. Question papers of College & University are available in the library for reference. Students avail of this service regularly.

 Library cards are issued to all the students of the college from the library. Students are issued library cards with the barcode printed on them.

III.Library orientation: Library Orientations given to the new first year students of the college to enable them to use the library collection extensively and avail the facility of the library.
