2.India on Wednesday asked China to refrain from using its new boundary law to make unilateral changes in the India-China border areas, which are disputed. 3.India on Wednesday successfully test fired the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)-developed, nuclear-capable Prithvi II missile in Balasore, off the coast of Odisha.Earlier on October 16, India had successfully conducted a night trial of Prithvi-2 missile as part of a user trial by the Army from a test range in Odisha, defence sources said.-Times of India

4.India lost $87 billion last year due to natural disasters such as tropical cyclones, floods and droughts, according to the World Meteorological Organization’s (WMO) “State of the Climate in Asia” report released on Tuesday.
