4.India seeks to be more involved in world supply chains and serve as an alternative to China through output-incentive plans and the growth of its domestic consumer market, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said.So-called production-linked incentive schemes covering 13 manufacturing sectors including for semiconductors "are bringing in global value chains into India," Ms Sitharaman said at the Peterson Institute for International Economics.-ndtv.com

5.India on Monday recorded a marginal increase in the daily Covid-19 cases at 5,880 compared to the previous day. On Sunday, a total of 5,357 cases were reported. According to the health ministry data, the active infections stand at 35,199. A total of 44,196,318 people have recuperated so far with the recovery rate rising to 98.74 percent. Meanwhile, the country witnessed 14 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the death tally to 53,09,79 deaths. The fatality rate stands at 1.19 percent.-hindustantimes.com

6.Ahead of the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meeting on April 12 and 13, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman expressed hope that the group could come together to address the debt distress of middle-income countries (MICs).While there could be “one or two” issues on which consensus is not possible, the Finance Minister said India’s presidency “is a great opportunity for India to prove and to work towards bringing all countries together on substantive issues”.-thehindu.com

 7.A nationwide drill is planned today and tomorrow to review emergency preparedness of both public and private hospitals amid a spike in Covid-19 cases.Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will oversee the drill at All India Institute Of Medical Science (AIIMS) in Haryana's Jhajjar.Mansukh Mandaviya in last week's review meeting had asked state health ministers to stay alert and check the preparedness of health facilities.-ndtv.com

8.India's financial capital registered multiple cases of online fraud incidents in the recent past and people lost huge amounts of money to scammers. 9.The AP Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) plans to set up food kiosks- Amrit Kiosks at tourist spots across the state to attract tourists. The kiosks will be set up by winter season.The APTDC plans to establish 100 kiosks across the state in the first phase, providing employment opportunities to the youth. It has already called for the tenders recently. These Amrit Kiosks would offer snacks, cold drinks and packaged food to tourists.-The Times of India

10.Indian Hotels Limited (IHCL) has marked an year of accelerated portfolio expansion in FY 2022-23. It recorded an industry-leading pipeline with the signing of 36 new hotels and opening of 16 new hotels, in the past one year. Quad countries call for end in violence in Ukraine, Gaza, and Myanmar .-The Quadrilateral partnership consisting of Australia, India, Japan, and the United States intends to expand the Indo-Pacific Partnership for Maritime Domain Awareness (IPMDA) into the Indian Ocean Region, the Foreign Ministers of the four member countries announced on Monday in Tokyo.
