4.Nandan Nilekani, co-founder and chairman of Infosys, has donated $38.5m to his alma mater, the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, to support infrastructure improvements, research and a deep tech startup ecosystem. IIT Bombay plans to raise $500m over the next five years and establish centres of excellence in artificial intelligence, green energy and quantum computing. 8.The much-awaited Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express train made its maiden journey Tuesday after the virtual inauguration of five such semi-high-speed trains by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bhopal.From Madgoan, the Vande Bharat train left at 11 am and reached Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai at 9.15 pm. The semi-high-speed train took 10 hours and 15 minutes on the inaugural day.
