1.The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said Chandrayaan-3, India's third lunar mission is getting closer to the Moon and it will perform another important manoeuvre on Monday between 11:30am to 12:30pm.Even closer to the moon’s surface. 4.President Droupadi Murmu will launch Vindhyagiri, a Project 17A frigate, at Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited, Kolkata, on August 17, the Indian Navy said in a statement on Sunday.Named after a mountain range in Karnataka, Vindhyagiri is the sixth ship of the Project 17A frigates. Under the Project 17A programme, four ships by Mumbai-based Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) and three by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited (GRSE) are under construction.-theindianexpress.com

7.At least seven people were killed in a cloudburst at Jadon village of Kandaghat sub division in Himachal Pradesh's Solan on Monday morning. 8.India's consumer price inflation (CPI), or retail inflation, for the month of July, is expected to shoot up to a six-month high, thanks to surging prices of vegetables, cereals and pulses. According to a Mint poll of 19 economists, India’s retail inflation might have hit a six-month high of 6.50 per cent in July, sharply up from 4.81 per cent in June. Quad countries call for end in violence in Ukraine, Gaza, and Myanmar .-The Quadrilateral partnership consisting of Australia, India, Japan, and the United States intends to expand the Indo-Pacific Partnership for Maritime Domain Awareness (IPMDA) into the Indian Ocean Region, the Foreign Ministers of the four member countries announced on Monday in Tokyo.
