3.Parliament security breach: After hours of interrogation, the four people arrested over the security breach in the Parliament have been charged under the anti-terror Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), the Delhi Police informed.While Manoranjan D and Sagar Sharma were arrested for breaking into the Lok Sabha and jumping from the visitors’ gallery and opening smoke cans, Neelam Azad and Amol Shinde were held for opening smoke canisters outside Parliament.

4.Goans who took Portuguese nationality have a problem: Renewing their Indian passport: On November 29, Thomas Fernandes, a resident of Candolim in North Goa’s Bardez taluka, went to the regional passport office (RPO) in Panaji to surrender his Indian passport. However, his Indian passport was revoked, saying he had “suppressed material information” and that he was already a citizen of Portugal at the time of renewal of his Indian passport in 2021.

5.Indian space startups got over ₹1,000 cr private investment since April: Report: Indian space startups have attracted over ₹1,000 crores of private investment since April this year, said Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Wednesday, adding that the country has the potential to reach a 100 billion USD space economy by 2040. 7.Revised bills replacing IPC, CrPC to be taken up for debate in Lok Sabha today:The Bharatiya Nyaya (Second) Sanhita, or BNS, a redraft of a key criminal law, and new versions of two other criminal laws based on changes recommended by a parliamentary standing committee will be taken up for discussion in Lok Sabha on Thursday. Union home minister Amit Shah on Tuesday tabled BNS, Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha (Second) Sanhita, and Bharatiya Saksha (Second) Bill, which seek to replace the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), and the Indian Evidence Act.

8.Overseas job racket mastermind, aide arrested in West Bengal:The crime branch on Wednesday arrested two people, including the mastermind of an overseas job racket busted in the city last month, in West Bengal on Wednesday and recovered 482 genuine passports of people from different states in India. The total arrests have reached seven. The duo, identified as Patit Paban Puleen Haldar, 36, and Mohammad Ilyas Abdul Sattar Shaikh Mansuri, 49, are residents of West Bengal. Explaining the modus operandi, he said, the gang first opened an office in New Delhi in May, but a police raid forced them to shift their base to Mumbai. In June, they opened an office in Ballard Pier, naming it ‘Bombay International Consultancy’, the police officer said.
