1.Nepal's Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli said on Sunday that no anti-China activities will be allowed in the country, reaffirming the Himalayan nation's commitment to the 'One China' policy.Mr. Oli made the remarks in a meeting with a high-level Chinese delegation led by Chen Jining, a member of the Communist Party of China's Central Committee. 2.The Quad group of countries — India, Australia, Japan and the U.S. — held back-to-back naval war games, deepening interoperability and honing, in particular, their anti-submarine warfare skills. ‘Exercise Malabar’, comprising the four countries, concluded on Friday off the coast of Visakhapatnam. Earlier, the four countries were part of the multilateral ‘Exercise Kakadu’ hosted by the Royal Australian Navy from September.

3.Regulatory and technical hurdles impacting a $6.5-billion joint venture project for building Vande Bharat trains by Russia’s Transmashholding (TMH) are expected to be raised by Moscow during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Kazan this week, people familiar with the matter said. Russian engineering major TMH is executing the project in a joint venture with state-run Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL).
