4.The University Grants Commission (UGC) has given the nod to the United Kingdom’s University of Bristol to establish a new campus in Mumbai, scheduled to open in the summer of 2026. The Letter of Intent was formally presented to the vice chancellor and president of the university, Professor Evelyn Welch and a delegation from Bristol, by the Secretary, Higher Education and Acting Chairman UGC, Vineet Joshi, during the NEP 2020 anniversary celebrations held today at New Delhi.
