1.Japan experienced at least three small tsunamis on Sunday minutes after a 6.8 magnitude earthquake jolted a Northern Pacific region affecting parts of the nation.Authorities have also issued more tsunami warnings, warning people to not venture out.The first tsunami hit Miyako, Iwate, at 5:37 pm local time (0837 GMT) but it was so small that the Japan Meteorological Agency said it could not measure the height.

2.Delhi’s air quality hovered near the ‘severe’ mark on Sunday morning but showed marginal improvement through the day, prompting the city’s pollution control body to hold off on invoking tougher anti-pollution measures under Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). 3.The Maharashtra government has taken the fantastic decision to have shops, offices and hotels open 24 hours. However, it hasn’t thought about transport services at night. For example, in a place like Nariman Point it is easier to find God than a “kaali peeli” late night. One suggestion is to operate Aqualine 3 services running from Cuffe Parade to Aarey throughout the night. At present the services are shut at 10.30pm. It could also think of encouraging private bus operators to run services at night.
