2.On Tuesday, India and the European Union announced a “landmark” free trade deal that would remove or reduce tariffs on more than 90% of goods traded between them. 4.Zon Hotels Mumbai Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between SanRaj Group and DGS Group, has initiated discussions with IHG Hotels & Resorts for an upcoming luxury hotel in Mumbai’s Western suburbs. The parties have entered into a non-binding MOU for the upcoming 350-room hotel project, focused on a luxury brand such as InterContinental.

5.The Budget session is set to begin on Wednesday with an address by President Droupadi Murmu to a joint sitting of both houses of Parliament. After its commencement, the session will run from January 28 and continue till April 2, during which there will also be an intersession break. While the first phase of the Budget session is scheduled from January 28 to February 13, the second phase will be held from March 9 to April 2.
