2.Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he hoped to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi “in the near future”, sparking speculation that his visit to India, that was cancelled in November 2025, could be rescheduled soon. 3.External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday said India views Luxembourg as a “very important” partner, exuding confidence that the two countries can enhance bilateral cooperation in several different fields, such as fintech, space, and AI.On a six-day visit to France and Luxembourg, Jaishankar held talks with Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden on “growing” bilateral cooperation, including in finance, investment and tech sectors.

4.India’s Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal visited Brussels Thursday for talks with his EU counterpart to give an impetus to a proposed trade pact, for which negotiations are in the last phase.The urgency to complete the trade negotiations, which commenced in June 2022, is because the finish line is in sight, unlike the previous attempt, when consultations on a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) began in 2007, but were stalled in 2013 due to political environment existing in each bloc.

5.In a ruling with significant implications for hotel operations and guest safety protocols, the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Chennai (North), has directed The Leela Palace Udaipur to pay INR 10 lakh in compensation and refund the room tariff after holding the hotel liable for violating guest privacy through a lapse in housekeeping procedures.
