1.The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency said it will halt collections of tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act at 12:01 a.m. EST (0501 GMT) on Tuesday (February 24, 2026), more than three days after the U.S. Supreme Court declared the duties illegal. The agency said in a message to shippers on its Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) that it will de-activate all tariff codes associated with President Donald Trump’s prior IEEPA-related orders as of Tuesday (February 24).

2.Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will pay a three-day visit to India beginning this week, Ottawa said in an official announcement. Carney will spend two days in Mumbai before arriving in New Delhi on March 2 for a bilateral meeting with PM Narendra Modi that is expected to further cement the relationship that was rocked by the killing of a Sikh separatist in 2023.

3.India has revised its three decade old tax treaty with France, which will help major French companies save millions of dollars in dividend levies, while it also broadens New Delhi's powers to tax certain transactions, the finance ministry said on Monday.Under the new rules, French companies holding at least 10% in an Indian entity will pay a 5% tax on dividends, down from 10% earlier. For minority French shareholdings of under 10% in Indian companies, however, dividend tax will rise from 10% to 15%.
