 1.Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting of the Cabinet Committee of Security to discuss the long and short-term measures to ensure the supply of essential commodities and energy security in view of the ongoing war in Iran. The CCS -- the country's highest decision-making body on security and strategic matters -- had carried out a detailed assessment of the availability of critical items for the common man, including food, energy and fuel security.

2.Narendra Modi has become India’s longest-serving head of an elected government, completing 8,931 days in office across his tenures as chief minister and prime minister.With the milestone, PM Modi surpassed Pawan Kumar Chamling, who served 8,930 days as Chief Minister of Sikkim.PM Modi, who first took office as Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, led the western state for more than 13 years before stepping down on May 21, 2014, to enter national politics. He was sworn in as India’s 14th Prime Minister on May 26, 2014.

3.The higher reaches of Sikkim and the Darjeeling hills received fresh spells of snowfall, lowering temperatures, and drawing tourists eager to experience the rare weather before summer.Snowfall has been reported over the past 24 hours in parts of Sikkim, particularly along the Jawaharlal Nehru (JN) Marg, which connects the Tsomgo (Chhangu) Lake and Nathu la with Gangtok.

4.Inaugurating several key projects of the Railways in Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched India’s first 5-star hotel atop railway track, The Leela Gandhinagar via video conferencing. The 300 room-hotel is situated at the revamped Gandhinagar Capital Station, which has been upgraded by the Indian Railways, equipped with world-class amenities. Tourists arriving at the Gandhinagar Railway Station will be able to directly check in to the luxurious hotel.

5.Taj has unveiled Jewel of the Lake: Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur, a book that documents the history, architecture and legacy of the palace located on Lake Pichola. Created under the creative direction of Rymn Massand, the book brings together narratives and imagery that explore the people, stories and design elements that have shaped the nearly three-century-old landmark.
