1.A U.S. Senator has introduced a Bill in the Senate that seeks to pause the issuance of new H-1B visas for three years and codify the $100,000 fee imposed by the Trump administration, which was struck down by a federal court. U.S. Senator Tim Sheehy, a Republican from Montana, said the U.S. should not be issuing visas that make it easier to undercut the rights of American workers.

2.Prime Minister Narendra Modi has formed a task force to bring about a radical overhaul of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and reform the examination system. Led by Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, the task force's members come from a wide range of streams.Great care and deliberation have been taken in finalising the selection, sources said. 4.The University of Mumbai has withdrawn its decision to bar admissions at 68 law and BEd colleges that failed to appoint university-approved principals and teachers. The colleges will now be allowed to admit students to 50% of their sanctioned intake during the current academic year subject to a penalty of Rs 10 lakh each.
