1.International Day of Non-Violence:

4.US initiative to help women entrepreneurs in India:The United States on Friday launched a public-private initiative to help women entrepreneurs in India.Called the US-India Alliance for Women’s Economic Empowerment, the initiative is a joint partnership of the US state department, US Agency for International Development (USAID), the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) and George Washington University.-hindustantimes.com

5.After India’s decision to impose reciprocity on UK nationals arriving in the country over Covid-related travel rules on Friday, the British High Commission has responded by saying it was working with the central government to make the travelling process for Indians “as easy as possible". 6.Ahead of festivals, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) director Randeep Guleria has warned of the possible rise in daily corona cases and asked people to remain alert and vigilant. 7.The domestic flight operations of four airlines are likely to shift to Terminal 1 of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) starting October 20. Adani Airports Holding Ltd., which took over the management of CSMIA from the GVK Group in July, has informed the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and other stakeholders regarding the decision.

Quad countries call for end in violence in Ukraine, Gaza, and Myanmar .-The Quadrilateral partnership consisting of Australia, India, Japan, and the United States intends to expand the Indo-Pacific Partnership for Maritime Domain Awareness (IPMDA) into the Indian Ocean Region, the Foreign Ministers of the four member countries announced on Monday in Tokyo.
