1.Budget-2023-Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her fifth straight budget today. 2.US law enforcement began a search Wednesday of President Joe Biden's beach house in Delaware, his lawyer said, in the latest stage of an operation to track down improperly stored classified documents.The search in Rehoboth, which attorney Bob Bauer said was done "with the president's full support and cooperation," followed similar searches that turned up small numbers of documents in Biden's home in Wilmington and a former office space in Washington, DC.-ndtv.com

3.US President Joe Biden believes that the India-US initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies, or iCET, is key for the two countries to create a democratic technology ecosystem, the White House has said.iCET, which is being billed as the “Next Big Thing” in the India-US relationship, was launched by national security advisors Jake Sullivan from the US and Ajit K Doval from India at the White House here on Tuesday.-ndtv.com

4.The International Monetary Fund projected a slowdown in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from 3.5 per cent to 2 per cent for the current fiscal, The News International reported.According to the Pakistan daily, the IMF had also projected that the GDP growth rate would rebound in the next fiscal 2023-24 up to 4.4 per cent.Global growth is projected to fall from an estimated 3.4 per cent in 2022 to 2.9 per cent in 2023, then rise to 3.1 per cent in 2024, according to IMF's World Economic Outlook (WEO) released on Tuesday.-ndtv.com

6.Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her budget speech on Wednesday underlined the potential of tourism sector in promoting job opportunities for the youth of the country, even as the government is working on several schemes to identify thematic circuits and iconic destinations. “There is a large potential to be tapped in tourism. 9.The hotel industry in the country has welcomed the emphasis that the government has put on the tourism sector in the Union Budget 2023-24 presented in the on February 1, 2023. The proposal by the finance minister to put the sector on “mission mode” to attract more domestic and foreign tourists has been hailed by the stakeholders. 10.ITDC has signed an MOU with Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India for promotion of Medical Value Travel in Ayurveda and other traditional systems of medicine.Under the agreement ITDC will promote ’ Heal in India’ – Medical Value Travel in Ayurveda, Yoga and other Indian traditional Systems of Medicine as well as assist in establishing India as No 1 destination for Medical value Travel in consultation with Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Ayush.
