2.The Israeli military withdrew its troops from a militant stronghold in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, ending an intense two-day operation that killed at least 13 Palestinians, drove thousands of people from their homes and left a wide swath of damage in its wake. One Israeli soldier was also killed. The army claimed to have inflicted heavy damage on militant groups in the Jenin refugee camp in an operation that included a series of airstrikes and hundreds of ground troops. 5.The draft data protection Bill is expected to come up before the Union Cabinet today (Wednesday), with the legislation expected to be tabled in the Monsoon session of Parliament after Cabinet approval, The Indian Express has learnt.A draft of the Bill was first floated last November, following which it underwent a few rounds of public consultation. 6.As heavy rains continued to lash Kerala, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday, July 5, issued a red warning in three districts of the state for the day, and orange warning in the remaining 11 districts. 8.Amid the prices of tomatoes soaring high in the market, crossing ₹100 per kilogram, it has breached the petrol and diesel prices in major cities of the country. In comparison to Mumbai and Delhi's petrol prices -- i.e. ₹106.31 and ₹96.72 per liter respectively, the tomato prices in the metros have surged up to ₹140 per kilogram.
