Poland, France and Germany vow to make Europe stronger as fears grow over Russia and Trump.:The governments of Poland, France and Germany vowed Monday to make Europe a security and defence power with a greater ability to back Ukraine, amid concerns that former U.S. President Donald Trump might return to the White House and allow Russia to expand its aggression on the continent.The Foreign Ministers of the three countries met in the Paris suburb of La Celle-Saint-Cloud to talk about Ukraine, amid other issues. They discussed reviving the so-called Weimar Triangle, a long-dormant regional grouping that was designed to promote cooperation between France, Germany and Poland.

PM Modi in UAE. -Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in the UAE, is set to address the 'Ahlan Modi' event at Zayed Sports City Stadium on Tuesday. Despite inclement weather, over 2,500 individuals are likely to take part in full ground rehearsals and volunteer briefings. PM Modi's agenda in Qatar includes meetings with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, among other senior officials. This visit marks Modi's first to Qatar since 2016.

Qatar frees eight former Indian Navy men, PM will go to Doha tomorrow.: More than three months after they were sentenced to death, eight former Indian Navy personnel have been released from custody in Qatar and seven have returned to India. This was announced by the Ministry of External Affairs in the early hours of Monday. Hours later, Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Qatar on February 14 and meet Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, after completing his visit to the UAE that starts Tuesday.

‘Chalo Delhi’ march begins from Punjab's Fatehgarh Sahib.: Farmers, mainly from Punjab, accompanied by Haryana and Uttar Pradesh counterparts, began their ‘Chalo Delhi’ march, after their meeting with the Union government remained inconclusive. On the eve of the march, farmer leaders from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh met with central ministers Piyush Goyal and Arjun Munda for a second round of talks, with the meeting lasting for five hours, in the Centre's last ditch attempt to halt the protest which is expected to cause gridlock across Delhi NCR on Tuesday.

Now, consumers will get respite from power cuts within 20 minutes.: Thirty lakh electricity consumers in the western and eastern suburbs will be able to get respite from power cuts within 15 to 20 minutes as opposed to an average of 34 minutes currently. From February 10, Adani Electricity has incorporated an advanced system to resolve owing to a technical failure. The system called Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) could be helpful during summer when power cuts are frequent. Sources in Adani Electricity said ADMS will now help identify the precise location of the fault generated between two Customer Sub Stations (CSS).
