1.Kerala holds voting for Russian presidential elections.- Russian citizens residing in Kerala cast their votes for the Russian presidential elections at the booth specifically arranged at the Honorary Consulate of the Russian Federation, Russian House, in Thiruvananthapuram. Ratheesh Nair, Honorary Consul of Russia and Director of the Russian House in Thiruvananthapuram, said, that they arranged polling for the Russian presidential elections for the third time. 2.One Nation, One Election’ road map: If brought in, 10 states may have Assemblies of a year or less.- If the Union government decides to implement simultaneous elections for the Lok Sabha and state Assemblies in 2029, the process will start as soon as the 2024 Lok Sabha polls end and many state Assemblies will be dissolved in 2029 much before the end of their five-year term to facilitate simultaneous elections. That is if the constitutional provisions on the duration of the Lok Sabha and Assemblies are amended during the term of the next Lok Sabha.-indianexpress.com

3.The Supreme Court will hear two important cases on Friday. One is an application filed by the Election Commission of India seeking modification of the March 11 order in the electoral bonds case. The other case filed by election watchdog Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) challenges the exclusion of the Chief Justice of India from a panel for the selection of the chief election commissioner and election commissioners.-livemint.com

4.Poll commissioners appointed; ECI set to announce LS poll schedule.-The election commissioners were appointed on the day Election Commission of India (ECI) uploaded data on electoral bonds weeks before general elections.With the appointment of retired bureaucrats Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu as election commissioners on Thursday, the Election Commission of India (ECI) is now expected to announce the 2024 national poll schedule. 5.WR introduces ‘Batman Squad’ for ticket checks, night vigilance-The Western Railway (WR) has formed the Batman Squad to conduct ticket checks and monitor passengers during night hours, spanning from 9pm to 6am, across suburban rail stations from Churchgate to Virar. 7.FHRAI announces 54th Convention in Goa -After a gap of six years, FHRAI announced its 54th  Annual Convention, to be held in Goa from 16-18 October 2024. Quad countries call for end in violence in Ukraine, Gaza, and Myanmar .-The Quadrilateral partnership consisting of Australia, India, Japan, and the United States intends to expand the Indo-Pacific Partnership for Maritime Domain Awareness (IPMDA) into the Indian Ocean Region, the Foreign Ministers of the four member countries announced on Monday in Tokyo.
