2.China on Thursday urged the United States to immediately cancel its latest tariffs and vowed countermeasures to safeguard its own interests, after President Donald Trump declared sweeping levies on all U.S. trading partners around the world. 3.Lok Sabha passed the Waqf (Amendment) Bill in the early hours of Thursday, April 2, after an 12-hour-long debate, with 288 members voting for it and 232 voting against. The hours-long debate saw the ruling NDA defending the legislation as beneficial for minorities, while the opposition described it as "anti-Muslim".
