2.Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelled to Anuradhapura in north-central Sri Lanka and launched two India-assisted railway projects on Sunday.As a special gesture, the Sri Lankan government released 14 Indian fishermen, a day after Prime Minister Modi called for approaching the issue of fishermen in a “humane” manner during his talks with Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. Accompanied by President Dissanayake, Modi visited the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi temple and paid his respects at the revered Buddhist shrine in Anuradhapura.

3.Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the New Pamban Bridge - the country's first vertical-lift sea bridge - in Tamil Nadu on the occasion of Ram Navami.PM Modi also flagged off a Coast Guard ship - which passed under the bridge - and the new Rameswaram-Tambaram (Chennai) train. PM Modi, who arrived in Tamil Nadu after a three-day visit to Sri Lanka, also performed a puja at the Ramanathaswamy temple in Rameswaram and laid the foundation stone of various rail and road projects worth over Rs 8,300 crore in the state.

4.In a significant move to invigorate Andhra Pradesh’s hospitality and tourism sectors, the State Cabinet—chaired by Chief Minister N.
