4.India will engage the ‘new government’ of Bangladesh and the two sides will ‘deepen’ bilateral ties, said the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Wednesday (April 8, 2026) after External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar hosted Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Khalilur Rahman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kobir in New Delhi. 5.Sarovar Hotels has unveiled an ambitious expansion roadmap, aiming to scale its portfolio to 400 hotels over the next five years, while creating over 10,000 new jobs across India.According to CEO Jatin Khanna, the company currently has around 250 hotels (operational and under development)with nearly 22,000 keys. Over the next 36 months, Sarovar expects to reach 210+ operational hotels, with an additional 100–120 properties in the pipeline.The company is targeting around 20 hotel openings in 2026, which will take its operational portfolio to approximately 170 hotels by year-end.
