 1.India’s relationship with Africa delivers a message of “stability in a turbulent world,” External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said on Thursday (April 23, 2026). Speaking at the launch of the theme, website and logo of the upcoming 4th India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS-IV), Mr. Jaishankar said India’s ties with Africa are rooted in the common struggle for freedom from colonial rule and highlighted development partnership and capacity building as key areas of collaboration between the two sides.

According to provisional figures, over 4.85 crore people voted from 7 a.m. in all the 234 Assembly constituencies to elect the 17th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.
