1.Facial recognition cameras installed at all major airports will be linked to a data fusion centre proposed to come up in Delhi, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Director General Praveer Ranjan said on Monday (June 22, 2026). Besides the airports, the feed from around 1.5 lakh surveillance cameras at vital installations across the country, which are under CISF’s security cover, will be linked to the centre, Mr. Ranjan said during the foundation-laying ceremony of the new CISF headquarters at CGO complex in Delhi.

3.Iran has agreed to establish a Strait of Hormuz "telephone hotline" with the United States and other countries to help prevent and resolve misunderstandings involving vessels transiting the strategic waterway, Iran's chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on Monday. Speaking to Iranian state media while returning from negotiations in Switzerland, Ghalibaf said Tehran and Washington had "reached an agreement to establish coordination mechanisms, a telephone hotline and a centre so that if any ambiguity or issue arises, ships can contact that centre."
