4.In a bid to arrest the frequent and recurring incidents of milk adulteration in Maharashtra, the State’s Food and Drug Administration has planned a massive digitisation initiative for end-to-end traceability of milk. The project intends to digitise milking records and link them to the milch animals, thereby helping authorities monitor real milk output.

5.Karnataka Food and Drug Administration, Food Safety Wing under the guidance of the State health and family welfare UT Khader with 30 teams of food safety officers have observed major violations during inspections of 3-star and 5-star hotel kitchens. These included unhygienic conditions in the food cooking and storage areas. Meat products were not labelled in accordance with the FSSAI requirements. Storage of expired milk products, bakery items, chicken, fish, meat and vegetables.
